So in this blog, I will share my opinion on ‘’How to be a doctor ‘’ or ‘’How to crack NEET (UG). Entrance Exam ‘’
To put ‘’Dr’’ in front of the name is the dream of every medical stream student.
In India, to enroll in a Government medical college for an MBBS degree is really a challenging task, but not impossible.
So the first thing to do to put a “stethoscope” around your neck, all you need to do is set a firm goal i.e. To crack ‘’(NEET) National Entrance Eligibility Test’
When to start preparing for the NEET (UG) Exam?
Ans: Well, the answer is very simple. The earlier you start, the better you perform.
Foundation classes, specifically Class 8 and Class 9, are the best times to start preparing for NEET; however, many aspirants have successfully cracked NEET by beginning their preparations in the 11th grade of the medical stream.
Which educational stream is best to prepare for NEET (UG) or NEET:PG)?
Ans : There are two best streams that should be adopt& 12th 11th &12th claspreparedget pNEET.re for NEET
1). First“ Medical” The medical stream consists of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and additional language subjects such as English, along with one more subject chosen from a variety of options.
So subject list for Medical
You can choose from Physical Education, IP, IT or Home Science as your options.
You can opt for additional subjects too (it’s op2). Thenal).
2). The second stream is called Science, Super Well. This option is recommended only for students who have a strong stamina for self-study, meaning they can dedicate longer hours to studying and practicing. The reason is its subject list.
Choose the one you have an interest in, and the school or institute offers it to you.
The additional subject plays the major role here. Biology can be an additional subject; this stream enables a student to be eligible for both NEET and JEE.
What is NEET all about?
Ans. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts a test for Entrance in various bachelor degree courses in medical stream like
MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS, BV, BAH etc.
This test which was called’ PMT ‘’pre- medical test is 90’s and’’ AIPMT ‘’- All India Pre-Medical Test in 2000’s
And from a few years a single Test for entire (or pan) India Medical colleges both government, private as well as defence and all prestigious colleges like AIIMS,GMCH, AFMC etc….
What is the pattern of NEET?
Ans. NEET (UG) includes a Test which is conducted every year in the Month of ‘May first week‘ normally on Saturday or Sunday and the prospectus and application form is available online from December first week onwards.
The NEET (UG) test includes 4 Subjects
Physics {45 multiple choice questions (mcq) of 180 marks}
Chemistry {45mcq questions of 180 marks}
3 Biology splits into parts
Botany {45 mcq questions of 180 marks?}
Zoology {45mcq questions of 180 marks?}
Total 180 multiple choice questions of 720 marks
Each question has weightage of 4 marks (4 180 = 720)
Note: 1. For every correct answer aspirant awarded +4marks
For every non-attempted answer aspirant gets Zero marks
For every wrong answer aspirant gets -1marks (1 marks get deducted), as there is “Negative marking for wrong answers”.
What is the syllabus of NEET UG?
Ans. The Syllabus for NEET(UG) PCB (Physics ,Chemistry ,Biology) Subjects is same as 11th and 12th classes combined CBSE syllabus plus some additional topics that were earlier {before 2020} the part of class +1 & +2 Syllabus, which was being deleted in year 2020(during covid pandemic).
Most Important question is
Q How to prepare for NEET (UG) entrance exams?
Ans. Now the most important thing for preparing NEET is
(i) Strong determination
(ii) “Guru’’ the mentor
It is very famous wording “Guru bina Gyan Nahi : गुरु बिना ज्ञान नहीं ” i.e. No knowledge without a teacher’’
NEET has a big hurdle called ‘’Physics’’, the ‘Dracula’ or ‘ghost’ of NEET. Why I am calling it Dracula, reason being the toughness of this subject.
There are roughly 14 chapters (10 units) in 11th physics and 14 chapters (10 units) in 12th physics. These 28 chapters are full of derivations, numerical, MCQ techniques, multilevel concepts that grill every student’s mind.
The NEET(UG) exam has 45 multiple choice questions from 28 chapters of +1, +2 physics.
Now the bitter truth of these 45 questions is that the majority of questions are to be solved by using multiple concepts at a time. In lay man language or simple wording, each question will be solved by using a formula or formulae using concepts of two or three chapters simultaneously, this makes physics so confusing for every student. To clear NEET. One should have at least 25% marks in PCB (individually) to qualify (i.e. to have a rank)
To get admission in MBBS, scores should be roughly above 550 or 650, out of 720 (every year it varies according to the toughness of exams). Every aspirant needs a mentor for physics to get rid of confusing mcq.
The teacher can be
1) Student itself!
How !!!
Let me explain, i) By using chapter wise formulae list and derivation notes, a student can teach himself or herself the concepts to be used in mcq.
ii) By practicing 30+ mcqs daily (without break) for the consecutive 2 years [during +1 & +2] students can train their brains to be habitual of solving tough and confusing questions.
iii) Various PYQ (Previous year questions) solved books or notes are available for practice.
How to prepare Physics subject for NEET (ug)?
Ans. Either enroll for any good quality coaching/tuitions or start doing self study for:
i) Do basic concepts of all the Chapters of 11th & 12th Physics
ii) Prepare formulae list and shortcut techniques of every chapter and revise them on regular basis
iii) Understand the derivations part of every chapter of physics, you can make your notes (which consumes a lot of time) and or (you can go for already available short notes.)
1) Start practicing questions, especially multiple choice questions.
a) First practice questions in which single chapter and one concept will be and used (easy level questions)
b) Now practice questions in which single chapter multiple concepts are used (Moderate level questions)
c) Finally practice such mcqs in which multi chapter concepts are to be used (hard questions).
(1) Previous year question practice is the mandatory rule to follow.
In short, with daily 30+ mcqs practice rules, aspirants feel himself / herself growing in physics, which is the master key of NEET(UG).
How to prepare for the chemistry subject for NEET (UG)?
Ans. The Chemistry must be done from NCERT and NCERT exemplar.
Each line mentioned in the NCERT book (which is a text book) for 11th and 12th class chemistry subjects is the key to success. As 9 chapters in 11th class and 10 chapters of 12th class, these 19 chapters are sub-divided into Physical chemistry, In-Organic chemistry, Organic chemistry and Modern chemistry.
How to prepare biology subjects (botany and zoology) for NEET (UG)?
Ans. As the Biology subject has a handful of formulas & numerical only so it is comparatively easy to understand. All you need to do is practice and practice. All PYQS, at least 30 years must be thoroughly practiced.
Final words are, by daily 30+ questions, (at least two out of the three subjects) must be practiced to get a remarkable and respectful rank in NEET (UG).
Professional coaching plays a major role too. In DISHA Teutonics, a team of mentors headed by Dheeraj Sood Sir, (MCA, M.Sc. in Physics, B.Sc. (C. A) and who have 22+ years of experience in physics subject teaching are working round the clock to help, guiding and preparing students for NEET and other major entrance exams.
“At Disha Teutonics+, we guide students with proven strategies and personal mentorship to help them achieve academic excellence and succeed in competitive exams.”
