To get good marks in 11th final school boards and in 12th board exams is every student’s dream, which is studying in 11th and 12th classes, but in the tough subjects like physics, to achieve desired marks is just like Jackpot dream come true.
In this article, I will try my best to help you out with getting respectful marks in the Physics subject for 12th board exams and 11th final school board exams. Let me start with an example: ‘just like on earth’s surface, i.e., on the agricultural lands or in forests or in open grounds, common green grass grows by itself. Now the thing is the grass grows very fast in a field, but a particular crop grows slowly in the same field. Now let’s relate it to the subjects of a class: some easy subjects come to mind, just like grass; on the other hand, subjects like physics take a really long time to understand, just like the slow-growing crops.
It needs a very strong strategy to perform best in physics.
First thing that is very important and that really matters, is time if you are planning about getting and setting score targets at the beginning of session (i.e., in the month of April) so you have almost 10 months to prepare for, it, it is so easy to achieve your targeted marks, but majority of students – or rather, it is best to say that more than 90% of the 11th and 12th class students only plan on getting good marks, but practically they start working seriously when almost half of the session has gone, especially after getting a jerk in the mid-term (September-October months) exams. After spending (or rather, it’s best to say wasting) half of the entire session, concern about getting good marks in pre-boards (in the December or January months) is a big trouble, and to score good in the final school or board exams (in the February and March months) is the everlasting tension.
Now let’s work on the solution of the problem, as a famous line “Every lock has a key.”
Right now we still have time to achieve respectful marks. First thing is don’t plan to pluck stars from the sky; i mean just set simple targets, i.e., to achieve 75% plus or 95% plus marks in Physics final exams, it’s up to an individual how and what to set as the target.
For that one should just go through that detailed syllabus of the 11th and 12th Physics subject issued by the CBSE, ISE and state boards (the CBSE always issues the detailed chapter- and unit-wise syllabus which includes all the topics and the unit-wise marks weightage too) at the beginning of every new session.
Now select the chapters which are highly scoring, i.e., Optics, unit 7, which includes Ray Optics (chapter 9) and Wave Optics chapter 10 of the physics textbook for class 12th physics. It carries almost 20% of the marks weightage of the +2 final board paper of Physics, i.e., 14 marks out of 70 marks. Now following the same way, in +1 class, Kinematics which is unit 2 (including chapter 2 and chapter 3 of NCERT physics), collectively are the highest-scoring chapters, along with unit 7, Properties of Bulk Matter, which includes chapter 8, chapter 9 and chapter 10 of the textbook.
In short, make a list of chapters that you have to finish and mention some extra chapters that may be done if the above list of compulsory chapters is covered within time. Follow one golden rule, i.e., when we need to go on a long journey by road, Stephaney (an extra tyre) must be there in the vehicle; in the same way, if you are getting 55 marks out of 70 marks, you need to thoroughly complete the chapters of 65 marks weightage.
Now one more thing: you must be fully aware of the format of the Physics exam whether for 11th or 12th board exams of physics or chemistry. Total marks or maximum marks of theory paper are 70 marks. The practical exam is worth 30 marks. The theory paper of 70 marks is categorised into 5 sections: section A, section B, section C, section D and section E.
Section A has 16 questions, which includes 12 MCQs questions and 4 assertion and reason questions (each question has one mark weightage, i.e., 16 marks)
Section B has 5 very short questions (each question worth 2 marks, i.e., a total of 10 marks)
Section C has 7 short questions (each question worth 3 marks, i.e., a total of 21 marks)
Section D has 2 case study concept-based questions (each question worth 4 marks, i.e., a total of 8 marks)
Section E has 3 long questions (each of 5 marks, i.e., a total of 15 marks)
It is the very famous strategy “Attack the enemy where he is weak” in short, start preparing from the easiest part of the physics exam, i.e., Section E, which includes long questions carrying 5 marks each. These are derivation-based questions in 11th and 12th physics from the entire syllabus.
Question is “how DISHA Teutonics+ coaching institute help you for your exam for the preparation of board exams or final School exams?”
The answer is very simple: we, the team DISHA, can help you segregate the sure short questions from the entire syllabus and also train you to attempt them so as to make you grab 15 marks of section E easily.
Section E: which carries 5 marks for derivation-based questions in +1, +2 physics exams and theory-based questions in the chemistry exam.
Now for section C: 3-mark questions, it is the highest-scoring section, as its mark weightage is 21 marks. This section, C, has to be given the most respect (i mean to pay most of your attention and efforts), as it’s the highest scoring as well as tough too, because this section is a mixture of numerical questions and mathematical derivations.
Question: how to score well in section C, i.e., 3-mark questions, of the 12th board exams of Physics and Chemistry subjects?
Answer: By having the precise knowledge and having more than two decades of teaching experience, we can assist you in understanding the small derivations and simple to complex numerical questions, which is the game changer as well as the master stroke to score high in 12th board exams and 11th School exams
With the help of precise study material and practice worksheets, which save you lots of time and effort, we enable you to score 18+ marks out of 21 marks from section C with little effort ( otherwise it’s the toughest job)
Section D and section B both are concept-orientated and application-based questions, as section D has 2 case study questions of 4 marks each, mostly MCQs in the Physics exam and descriptive in the chemistry exam. With some firm and directive efforts, students can be able to score high in both the sections. Again, expert teachers can play a vital role here by selecting and summarising the topics which have more chances to come.
Section A is the most difficult and challenging part of the Physics and Chemistry exams. Students really need an expert guidance and well-equipped notes to grab marks in this section because, the formulae and important techniques, as well special cases of the derivations and multi-chapter concepts, are required to solve multiple-choice questions
So the final thought is that in order to grab extra marks and to score really high in a very short time period, every student needs precise study material which has to cover all the topics of the subject in the minimum possible time, i.e., summarised short notes of all the chapters, a formula list for numerical questions, techniques for multiple-choice questions and the mathematical derivations in easy steps, case-study-based material and mind maps for every chapter to revise and retain important points in the last-minute preparations. We, the team DISHA Teutonics + mentors, have made everything ready to use for students as well as their exams. All you people need to contact us timely to score as good as 90% plus or maybe 100% marks in your final board exams of 11th and 12th classes.
“At Disha Teutonics+, we guide students with proven strategies and personal mentorship to help them achieve academic excellence and succeed in competitive exams.”
